First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB) in Abu Dhabi seeks a Collections Specialist to manage overdue accounts and drive timely resolutions through follow-ups, negotiation, and settlements. The role supports achieving monthly collection targets while upholding professional conduct and regulatory compliance.

You will document activities, ensure adherence to KYC/AML and consumer protection rules, and escalate legal or regulatory changes to the Head of Collections as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Excellent communication and customer-handling skills.
• Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities.
• Good computer skills and knowledge of banking basics.
• Understanding of KYC, AML, consumer protection, and collection compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage allocated overdue accounts and achieve monthly collection targets.
• Monitor efficiency and productivity against performance targets.
• Document collection activities accurately in the system with detailed information.
• Negotiate repayment arrangements and settlements with customers, consulting Head of Collections when required.
• Conduct customer follow-ups per collection procedures and code of conduct.
• Ensure compliance with consumer protection, KYC, AML, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and report legal or regulatory developments affecting collection activities.
