Job summary

Bombardier Aerospace Abu Dhabi is seeking a highly skilled B1/B2 licensed Aircraft Maintenance Technician to support the new Abu Dhabi service center. You will troubleshoot, repair, inspect and maintain Bombardier aircraft, with a focus on Global and Challenger types, and you will mentor junior technicians on maintenance tasks.

The role requires relocation to Abu Dhabi, UAE, and may involve shift work and travel for business.

Qualifications

• GCAA and/or EASA Part 66 Aircraft Technician License: B1 and/or C.
• Type-rated on Bombardier Business Aircraft (Challenger/Global).
• Minimum 5+ years as a licensed Bombardier aircraft technician.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, repairs, inspects and maintains customer aircraft.
• Documents all work per manuals and regulations and trains others.
• Release maintenance tasks and sign off after inspections.
• Perform engine runs and complex repairs on aircraft systems.
• Communicate status effectively and work with engineering drawings.

What are your contributions to the team?

• Troubleshoots, repairs, inspects and performs maintenance on customer aircraft
• Performs and documents all work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required
• Be able to train, coach and support other employees
• Perform complete engine runs as required
• Perform complex repairs on aircraft systems
• Supervise Mechanics when carrying out maintenance tasks, and determine that relevant tasks or inspections have been carried out to the required standard
• Release maintenance tasks that are performed by him-/herself or under his supervision for which he/she is trained and authorized
• Sign off base maintenance tasks that are performed by him-/herself or under his/her supervision, in support of Certifying Staff Category C
• Perform maintenance at off-site locations
• Assist when providing time estimates

How to thrive in this role?

• You hold an GCAA and/or EASA Part 66 Aircraft Technician License: B1 and/or C.
• You are type-rated on relevant Bombardier Business Aircraft Type including; Challenger and Global series.
• You have operated as an experienced licensed aircraft technician, taking ownership of complex maintenance assignments, signing off aircraft to ensure airworthiness, and mentoring junior colleagues, with a minimum of 5+ years of experience of Bombardier Aircraft type i.e. Global &/or Challenger series.
• You have up to date basic knowledge requirements of Appendix I to Part-66.
• You have basic knowledge of Part-M, Part-145 and any other relevant regulations.
• You have knowledge on, and practicing of, human factors, human performance and limitations.
• You have knowledge on EWIS and CDCCL when relevant.
• You have the ability to interpret and work with engineering drawings.
• You are able to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form on individual task and / or aircraft status.
• You are highly proficient in using standard tools, special tools and operate ground support equipment.
• You have the ability to work in accordance with the maintenance data and to notify the function responsible of defects or mistakes requiring rectification to re-establish required maintenance standards.
• Able to work in shifts and occasional night shifts ( if required)..
• Able to travel for business needs on short notice.
