Job summary

Good co India seeks a senior cloud architect to design, implement, and govern enterprise Azure solutions. You will define standards, land-ing zones, and best practices while leading migrations from on-prem to Azure.

You will craft IaC with Terraform, ARM/Bicep, and containerized apps on AKS, Docker, and App Services, ensuring security, cost-efficiency, and high availability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 7–12 years of Cloud Architecture / Azure Engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on expertise with Azure services (VMs, AKS, App Service, Functions, Storage, SQL, Networking, Entra ID, Monitor, Key Vault).

Role & responsibilities

• Design, architect, and implement secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-effective cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure.
• Define Azure cloud architecture standards, governance models, landing zones, and best practices for enterprise environments.
• Lead cloud migration, application modernization, and digital transformation initiatives from on-premises and hybrid environments to Azure.
• Design highly available, disaster recovery-enabled, and business-critical Azure infrastructure using Azure Well-Architected Framework principles.
• Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, ARM Templates, and Bicep.
• Architect cloud-native and containerized applications using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Docker, Azure App Services, Azure Functions, and microservices.
• Design and implement Azure networking solutions including Virtual Networks (VNet), ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, Azure Load Balancer, Application Gateway, and Azure Front Door.
• Implement cloud security, governance, identity management, and compliance using Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Azure Policy, Azure Key Vault, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, and Azure RBAC.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, infrastructure, security, and business stakeholders to deliver enterprise cloud solutions.
• Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, and GitOps practices.
• Monitor and optimize Azure environments for performance, scalability, reliability, availability, and cost using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, FinOps, and observability tools.
• Conduct architecture reviews, technical assessments, proof of concepts (PoCs), and solution design workshops.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and architectural guidance to cloud engineers and cross-functional teams.
• Support pre-sales activities by preparing technical proposals, solution designs, effort estimations, and customer presentations.
• Stay updated with emerging Azure services, cloud technologies, and industry best practices to drive continuous innovation.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline; Master's degree is preferred.
• 7 to 12 years of experience in Cloud Architecture, Azure Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Architecture, or Solution Architecture.
• Strong hands‑on expertise in Microsoft Azure with deep knowledge of services including Azure Virtual Machines, AKS, Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, Azure SQL Database, Azure Networking, Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Azure Monitor, and Azure Key Vault.
• Proven experience designing enterprise‑scale, hybrid cloud, and multi‑cloud architectures with high availability, disaster recovery, and security.
• Strong experience with Terraform, ARM Templates, Bicep, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Docker, Kubernetes, and automation frameworks.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
• Strong understanding of Azure networking, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, VNet, cloud governance, security, IAM, compliance frameworks, and Zero Trust architecture.
• Experience with microservices, serverless computing, event‑driven architectures, and cloud‑native application development.
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools including Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk, and Datadog.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, problem‑solving, consulting, and technical leadership skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with globally distributed teams.
• Professional certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator Associate, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, Azure Security Engineer Associate, Terraform Associate, CKA, TOGAF, or ITIL are highly preferred.
