Job summary

Good co India is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Architect in the United Arab Emirates to design secure, scalable cloud solutions and lead modernization initiatives.

You will define governance, implement IaC, containerized/serverless deployments, and ensure cost efficiency. You will mentor engineers and collaborate across teams while staying current with AWS trends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 6 to 11 years of experience in AWS Cloud Architecture or related roles.
• Deep expertise in core AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, Lambda, EKS, ECS, Route 53).
• Strong Terraform, CloudFormation, IaC, Docker, Kubernetes experience.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) and automation.
• Security, compliance, and cost optimization awareness.

Responsibilities

Role & responsibilities

• Design, architect, and implement secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-optimized solutions on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Define AWS cloud architecture, governance standards, best practices, and reference architectures aligned with business objectives.
• Lead cloud migration, modernization, and application transformation initiatives from on-premises to AWS.
• Design highly available, fault-tolerant, and disaster recovery-enabled AWS infrastructure using AWS Well-Architected Framework principles.
• Architect Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, and automation tools.
• Design and deploy containerized and serverless solutions using Amazon EKS, ECS, Docker, AWS Lambda, and API Gateway.
• Implement AWS networking solutions including VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, Route 53, Load Balancers, VPN, and hybrid cloud connectivity.
• Ensure cloud security by implementing IAM, KMS, AWS WAF, AWS Shield, Secrets Manager, encryption, and compliance controls.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, infrastructure, and security teams to design end-to-end cloud-native solutions.
• Optimize AWS environments for performance, scalability, availability, reliability, and cost using FinOps best practices.
• Design and review CI/CD pipelines, automation workflows, and DevOps practices to improve software delivery.
• Perform architecture reviews, technical documentation, proof of concepts (PoCs), and solution design workshops.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to cloud engineers and project teams.
• Support pre-sales activities, customer presentations, effort estimation, and technical proposal development.
• Stay updated with the latest AWS services, cloud technologies, and industry best practices.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline; Master's degree is preferred.
• 6 to 11 years of experience in AWS Cloud Architecture, Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Architecture, or Solution Architecture.
• Strong hands-on expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS) with deep knowledge of core services including EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, RDS, Lambda, EKS, ECS, CloudFormation, Route 53, CloudWatch, and Direct Connect.
• Proven experience designing enterprise-scale, highly available, secure, and cost-optimized AWS architectures.
• Strong experience with Terraform, CloudFormation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Docker, Kubernetes, and automation frameworks.
• Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or AWS-native DevOps services.
• Strong understanding of AWS networking, hybrid cloud connectivity, cloud security, IAM, encryption, disaster recovery, and compliance frameworks.
• Experience with microservices, serverless computing, API Gateway, event-driven architectures, and cloud-native application design.
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Splunk, and Datadog.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and technical leadership skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with cross-functional and globally distributed teams.
• Professional certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, AWS Certified Security – Specialty, AWS Advanced Networking – Specialty, CKA, Terraform Associate, or TOGAF are highly preferred.
