Job summary

VAM Systems is seeking an AWS Cloud SysOps Engineer to join our UAE operations. The role centers on AWS SysOps, with exposure to DevOps/SRE practices, automation, and reliability engineering.

Strong hands-on experience across AWS services and IaC tools is required. You will work in a 24x7 environment, supporting production systems and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Remote work is not offered; full-time employment in UAE is expected.

Qualifications

• In-depth AWS SysOps / Cloud Infrastructure experience.
• Strong operational expertise with AWS services (EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, EBS, ELB, CloudWatch, Route 53).
• AWS monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident response experience.
• Experience with Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation for IaC.
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Podman; Kubernetes knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage AWS-based production systems with high availability.
• Implement IaC using Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Operate 24x7 production environments with proactive monitoring.
• Lead capacity planning, performance tuning, and cost optimization.
• Support DevOps/SRE practices including GitLab CI/CD and GitOps.

Job description

We are looking for an AWS Cloud SysOps Engineer for our UAE operations with following skillset

The role is primarily AWS SysOps-focused with exposure to DevOps/SRE practices such as automation CI/CD container platforms and reliability engineering.

57 years of hands-on experience in AWS Cloud SysOps / Cloud Infrastructure roles.

Strong operational experience with AWS services including: EC2 VPC IAM S3 RDS EBS ELB CloudWatch Route 53

Proven experience in: AWS monitoring logging alerting and incident response Capacity planning performance tuning and cost optimization

Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using: Terraform and/or AWS CloudFormation

Working knowledge of container platforms: Amazon EKS (primary) & OpenShift (secondary / exposure level)

Experience managing containers using Docker and Podman

Strong scripting skills in Bash and/or Python

Experience supporting Linux-based systems

Good communication skills and ability to work in 24x7 operational environments

Exposure to DevOps and SRE practices including: GitLab CI/CD pipelines GitOps-based deployments

Working knowledge of security and compliance frameworks: CIS benchmarks NIST ISO 27001

Experience supporting production systems in high-availability environments

Preferably candidates having experience in BFSI domain

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).

AWS Certified SysOps Administrator (preferred)

AWS DevOps Engineer or Solutions Architect (plus)
