Job summary

NorthBay Solutions LLC is seeking a highly experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. This individual will be responsible for designing and managing scalable, secure cloud infrastructure and CI/CD platforms using Azure technologies.

The ideal candidate should have over 6 years of experience in DevOps with strong expertise in Azure DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, and container orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes. This full-time role is onsite in Abu Dhabi.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering.
• Extensive experience managing Azure cloud infrastructure in enterprise production environments.

Senior DevOps Engineer

Location: Onsite – Abu Dhabi, UAE

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, automating, and managing scalable, secure, and highly available cloud infrastructure and CI/CD platforms for enterprise-grade applications.

This role requires deep expertise in Azure cloud technologies, DevOps automation, DevSecOps practices, container orchestration, and AI/ML infrastructure management. The candidate should have strong problem-solving capabilities, hands‑on technical expertise, and the ability to work collaboratively in Agile environments while ensuring operational excellence and platform reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain robust CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps for enterprise‑scale applications.
• Manage and optimize production‑grade Azure cloud environments with a focus on scalability, performance, security, and cost efficiency.
• Implement DevSecOps best practices by integrating security controls, compliance checks, and vulnerability management into CI/CD workflows.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, Bicep, and ARM templates.
• Deploy and manage containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes platforms.
• Implement GitOps and orchestration solutions using Helm, FluxCD, and ArgoCD.
• Build and maintain observability and monitoring solutions using Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, and centralized logging platforms.
• Support AI/ML and LLM infrastructure deployments, including Azure AI Foundry and Azure Machine Learning environments.
• Automate operational tasks and infrastructure management using PowerShell, Python, and Bash scripting.
• Manage source code repositories, branching strategies, and code quality practices using GitHub and SonarQube.
• Troubleshoot production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
• Collaborate closely with development, security, infrastructure, and operations teams to ensure smooth software delivery and deployment processes.
• Support microservices and serverless application architectures across cloud‑native environments.
• Ensure adherence to cloud security standards, governance policies, and operational best practices.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• 6+ years of hands‑on experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering roles.
• Strong expertise in Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
• Extensive experience managing Azure cloud infrastructure in enterprise production environments.
• Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, Bicep, and ARM templates.
• Strong experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, FluxCD, and ArgoCD.
• Experience implementing DevSecOps practices and security automation.
• Expertise in monitoring and observability tools such as Dynatrace, Prometheus, and Grafana.
• Experience with Azure AI Foundry and Azure Machine Learning infrastructure is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Strong understanding of Git workflows, GitHub, and code quality tools like SonarQube.
• Experience with microservices, serverless architectures, and cloud‑native application deployment.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft Azure certifications such as Azure Administrator, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or Azure Solutions Architect.
• Experience with enterprise‑scale cloud migration and modernization projects.
• Familiarity with FinOps and cloud cost optimization strategies.
• Exposure to AI/ML operationalization (MLOps) practices.
• Experience supporting high‑availability and disaster recovery environments.
