Job summary

Mövenpick Resort Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah is seeking an AV Technician to install, operate and maintain audiovisual systems across the property. You will support meetings, events, conferences and guest experiences with reliable AV solutions.

Responsibilities include setting up, testing and troubleshooting equipment, collaborating with events and operations teams, and ensuring safety and compliance with hotel standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar AV Technician role, preferably in hospitality.
• Knowledge of audio, video, lighting and conferencing systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and effectively.
• Familiarity with digital sound systems, projectors and LED displays.

Job Description

As an AV Technician, you will be responsible for installing, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting audio-visual systems and equipment throughout the property, ensuring seamless support for meetings, events, conferences, and guest experiences.

What you will be doing:

• Install, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot audio-visual equipment, including sound systems, microphones, projectors, LED screens, televisions, video conferencing systems, and related technologies.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of AV equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Set up and test AV systems for meetings, conferences, banquets, weddings, and other events according to operational requirements.
• Respond promptly to AV-related issues and provide effective technical support to guests and colleagues.
• Monitor and maintain audiovisual systems in guest areas, meeting rooms, banquet venues, restaurants, and public spaces.
• Coordinate with the Events, Banquets, Sales, and Operations teams to ensure successful execution of all events.
• Ensure all AV equipment is properly stored, maintained, and accounted for.
• Inspect all AV installations and work areas for safety concerns and take immediate corrective action when necessary.
• Support all departments with their audiovisual requirements to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
• Adhere to hotel standards, health and safety regulations, and preventive maintenance procedures.

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include:

• Previous experience in a similar AV Technician role, preferably within the hospitality industry.
• Strong knowledge of audio, video, lighting, and conferencing systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
• Familiarity with digital sound systems, projectors, LED displays, and video conferencing platforms.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays when required.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple event setups in a fast-paced environment.
