HandsOn Systems Ltd, a Malta-based technology and telematics company, is seeking Automotive Technicians for full-time relocation to Malta. Responsibilities include installing GPS devices and telematics equipment across various vehicles, diagnosing faults, and supporting testing and maintenance.

Ideal candidates hold relevant engineering diplomas, have 2+ years of hands-on experience with automotive electrical systems, and possess strong problem solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or Automotive Electronics or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of relevant working experience.
• Hands-on experience with automotive electrical/electronic systems.
• Experience with GPS, cameras or sensors is advantageous.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer knowledge (MS Office).
• Valid driving licence.
• Clean police conduct certificate.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to relocate to Malta.

Responsabilités

• Carry out technical installations on various types of vehicles.

Automotive Technician – Full-time position in Malta – HandsOn Systems Ltd – Single Permit application support provided for selected candidates.

HandsOn Systems Ltd is a technology and telematics company based in Malta, Europe, providing advanced GPS tracking fleet management IoT and related technology solutions to clients in Malta and internationally. Our Technical Department works with a wide range of vehicles and equipment installing modern GPS tracking systems sensors electronic devices and other telematics technologies on cars trucks commercial vehicles boats and other mobile assets. We are currently looking for experienced Automotive Technicians who are interested in relocating to Malta and joining our team on a full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Carrying out technical installations on various types of vehicles
• Installing GPS tracking devices sensors cameras and other automotive electronic equipment
• Installing and configuring advanced automotive and telematics technologies
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical and electronic faults in vehicles
• Supporting testing and maintenance of installed equipmentKeeping management informed of any technical issues or difficulties encountered during installations
• Continuously learning about new automotive and telematics technologies including attending training sessions when required
• Maintaining a clean organised and safe working environment
• Working flexible hours or shifts when required depending on operational needs

Ideal Candidate

• A Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Automotive Electronics or an equivalent qualification.
• At least 2 years of relevant working experience.
• Previous hands‑on experience with automotive electrical/electronic systems.
• Experience with automotive technologies, vehicle electronics, GPS systems, cameras, sensors or similar equipment would be considered an advantage.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer knowledge, including MS Office and other software applications.
• A valid driving licence.
• A clean police conduct certificate.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• A motivated, responsible and hands‑on approach to work.
• Willingness to relocate to Malta.

Employment & Relocation

Basis: Full-Time

Location: Malta

Salary: To be discussed based on experience and qualifications

Work Permit: HandsOn Systems will support and submit the Single Permit (Work Permit) application for selected candidates who require authorisation to work in Malta. All applications remain subject to approval by the relevant Maltese authorities.
