Job summary

Tether.io is seeking an Automation QA Engineer to own desktop and mobile automation testing and manual testing. You will build and maintain test automation for critical user flows and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in QA automation, strong TS/JS skills, and experience with Playwright, WebdriverIO, Appium, and testing Electron/React Native apps. This is a remote-ready role with a global team and opportunities to influence product quality.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation, plus hands-on manual and exploratory testing experience.
• Strong programming skills in TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (for example, GitHub Actions).
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for desktop or web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, including on real iOS and Android devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA and critically reviewing their output. Testing AI-powered applications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.
