Job summary

Tether, a global fintech innovator, seeks an Automation QA Engineer to own desktop and mobile testing across our digital platforms. Join a remote, globally distributed team delivering high-quality software with fast, reliable test automation.

You will build, maintain, and execute test strategies, collaborate with developers and product, and ensure robust quality across Electron, React Native, and web apps. Strong automation and AI QA tooling preferred.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in QA automation with hands-on manual and exploratory testing.
• Strong programming skills in TypeScript and JavaScript.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines, e.g., GitHub Actions.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright for desktop/web, and WebdriverIO + Appium for mobile.
• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, including on real iOS and Android devices.
• Experience using AI tools in QA; testing AI-powered applications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain desktop and mobile test automation for critical user flows.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines and keep them fast and reliable.
• Investigate failures, fix flaky tests, and manage test data and environments
• Report clear, reproducible bugs and verify fixes
• Work with developers and product on testability and acceptance criteria
• Perform hands-on functional, exploratory, and regression testing of new features
• Choose manual or automated coverage based on risk; maintain regression suites.

About The Job

We’re looking for an Automation QA Engineer with strong automation skills who also takes ownership of manual testing for our desktop and mobile applications.

• 4+ years in QA automation, plus hands‑on manual and exploratory testing experience.
• Strong programming skills in TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Experience running tests in CI/CD pipelines (for example, GitHub Actions).

• Experience testing Electron and/or React Native apps, including on real iOS and Android devices.
