Job summary

Nico International is seeking an Automation Engineer to design, implement, and optimize automated systems at our Fujairah site. You will develop PLC/SCADA solutions, create system designs and documentation, and ensure safe, reliable operation across production lines.

You will test, troubleshoot, and validate automation equipment, maintaining performance and quality while collaborating with IT, quality and engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Automation field.
• Experience with PLCs (Allen-Bradley or Siemens) and SCADA.
• Proficient in ladder logic, structured text, Python.
• Knowledge of Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, OPC.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop automation solutions using PLCs, SCADA, robotics, or scripting.
• Test, troubleshoot, and validate automated equipment and scripts.
• Maintain and optimize automation systems including hardware and software.
• Collaborate with production, IT, quality and engineering teams.
• Provide training and guidance to operators.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
