Job summary

NPR is seeking a results-driven analytics professional to own the station-facing insights service. You will develop deep expertise on station audiences, run monthly webinars, and create newsletters for stations, using NPR analytics tools to track data and build dashboards.

The role requires strong public speaking, advanced SQL, and experience translating quantitative data for non-technical audiences. You will train teams and collaborate with cross-functional partners to advance NPR’s research

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in website/app analytics or audience behavioral data.
• 1+ years of experience providing direct support to customers or external stakeholders
• Strong public speaking and presentation skills
• Proven expertise with Google Analytics or similar tools
• Advanced SQL expertise (window functions, complex joins, query optimization)
• Advanced Excel/Google Sheets proficiency (pivot tables, complex formulas, visualization)
• Experience working with large datasets
• Excellent communication skills for explaining quantitative information to non-technical audiences
• Experience training non-technical audiences on analytics tools

Responsibilities

• Lead and own the station-facing insights service
• Develop expertise on station audiences and analytics needs
• Conduct monthly webinars to provide analysis on Network-wide trends and best practices
• Create and manage monthly newsletters for stations
• Use NPR’s analytics software products, including data tracking and dashboards
• Build and sustain consultative relationships with station executives
• Oversee compliance with data collection processes and troubleshoot tracking implementation
• Serve as a station ambassador to inform NPR roadmaps and research
• Identify and compile internal research to help stations grow audiences
• Write guides, documentation, and training materials
• Partner with cross-functional teams focused on technical infrastructure and support
