Job summary

ABB söker en junior ingenjör till Automation - Energy Industries i Abu Dhabi, UAE. Du kommer att stödja ingenjörsaktiviteter i olika projektstorlekar och komplexitet, under tillsyn av seniora ingenjörer, och leverera kostnadseffektiva lösningar enligt kontrakt, kvalitets- och säkerhetskrav.

Du har en civilingenjörsexamen, grundläggande förståelse för automationssystem och goda samarbetsförmågor. Du kommunicerar flytande på engelska och arabiska med interna team, kunder och externa parter.

Qualifications

• Civilingenjörsexamen krävs.
• 0–2 års relaterad erfarenhet.
• Grundläggande förståelse för automationssystem.
• God samarbetsförmåga och problemlösning.
• Du kommunicerar flytande på engelska och arabiska.

Responsibilities

• Utföra undersökningsarbete, standardberäkningar, analys och grundläggande projektering inom din leveransomfång.
• Upprätta projektdokumentation enligt leveranskrav.
• Assistera kunder vid tekniska frågor och samverka med entreprenörer och övrig personal.
• Stödja kommunikation i specifika uppdrag eller möten.
• Delta i workshops relaterade till ingenjörsdesign, verktyg och processer.
• Koordinera och samverka med Driftsättning/Service för att säkerställa att designerna installeras och driftsätts (om tillämpligt).
• Uppdatera ingenjörsleveranser efter installation/driftsättning (om tillämpligt).

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support engineering activities in all types of project sizes and complexities, under the supervision of senior engineers. Each day, you will complete the tasks cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards. You will also showcase your expertise by collecting data and supporting production of the engineering design.

The work model for the role is:

This role is contributing to Automation - Energy Industries in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Main stakeholders are customers, contractors, suppliers, project managers, and engineering colleagues within ABB.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Performing survey work, standard computations, analysis, and basic design tasks.
• Exercising judgment on limited details of work and on application of standard methods and preparing project documentation within your scope of deliverables.
• Assisting customers on technical issues and interacting with official contacts, contractors, and other staff within your scope of deliverables.
• Supporting communication pertaining to specific assignments or meetings.
• Participating in workshops related to engineering design, tools, and processes.
• Coordinates and performs with Commissioning / Service functions to ensure the designs are appropriately installed and commissioned (if applicable as part of the contract).
• Updates the engineering deliverables post installation & commissioning (if applicable).

• Degree in Engineering
• You are at ease communicating in English and Arabic with internal teams, customers, and external stakeholders
