Job summary

Founders Law is looking for a UK-qualified corporate and commercial associate to help scale our UAE practice, working with fast-growing fintech, AI, digital assets, and other startups. You’ll help build a team as we expand beyond 40 lawyers, embedding with ambitious founders across the GCC.

Based in Dubai with 2–3 years of experience, you’ll thrive in a commercial-first culture, embrace legal tech, and contribute to data protection, IP and consumer law matters.

Qualifications

• UK-qualified corporate/commercial lawyer with 2–3 years of experience
• Based in UAE with 1–2 years local experience ideal
• Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to thrive in fast-moving environments
• Exposure to data protection, IP, consumer law, or digital assets
• Tech-savvy and comfortable with legal tech
• Strong commercial contracts background with high-growth tech clients

Responsibilities

• Build and expand the UAE corporate/commercial practice
• Advise fast-scaling fintech, AI, crypto, and other startups
• Draft and negotiate complex commercial contracts for high-growth clients
• Embed with founders and fast-growth companies as trusted adviser

What we're looking for?

UK-qualified corporate/commercial lawyer (common law) with at least 2-3 years of experience, and trained at a large-scale US/UK law firm

Already based in the UAE (1-2 years’ local experience ideal)

Entrepreneurial mindset + ability to thrive in fast-moving environments

Exposure to data protection, IP, consumer law, or digital assets

Tech-savvy and comfortable with legal tech

Strong commercial contracts background with high-growth tech clients
