Confidential in the United Arab Emirates is seeking an Assistant Underwriting Manager to join the Property, Casualty and Engineering team. This role will support underwriting for new business and renewals while upholding strong underwriting standards and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

You will work closely with the Underwriting Manager to oversee P&C and Engineering risks, supervise the assigned operations team, and manage relationships with brokers, clients, insurers and reinsurers.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 8–10 years of General Insurance underwriting experience.
• Strong knowledge of Property and Casualty lines.
• Strong underwriting, negotiation and decision-making skills.
• Ability to interpret treaty documents and policy wordings.
• ACII, Dip CII or FII qualification preferred.

Aufgaben

• Underwriting P&C and Engineering risks within delegated authority.
• Reviewing and analyzing underwriting information.
• Supporting new business and renewal enquiries.
• Supervising and developing the assigned operations team.
• Managing relationships with brokers, clients, insurers and reinsurers.
• Supporting reinsurance placements and treaty requirements.
• Ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinating with Claims, Finance, IT and Reinsurance teams.
