Job summary

NATIONAL GENERAL INSURANCE CO (P.J.S.C) in Dubai seeks an experienced Underwriter to drive budget attainment for Property and General Accident lines. You will supervise underwriting and operations, arrange facultative reinsurance, and negotiate terms with reinsurers.

Strong broker and reinsurer relationships, plus monitoring KPIs and retention targets, are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• ACII or professional equivalent is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of UAE underwriting experience.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite Property & General Accident LOBs to achieve the Budget.
• Supervise underwriting and operational activities of the team.
• Arrange facultative reinsurance support and negotiate terms with reinsurers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, reinsurers, and reinsurance brokers.
• Monitor portfolio performance, premium growth, profitability, and underwriting KPIs.

• Education : ACII, Bachelor's Degree in Insurance, Engineering, or a related discipline

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of UAE experience in a similar role

• Leadership Skills: Ability to supervise, mentor, with strong decision-making skills.
