Job summary

Delano Dubai, located on Bluewaters Island, seeks an Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the Restaurant Manager in leading the day-to-day operation of the Blue Door dining venue. You will be highly visible on the floor, guiding service and ensuring guest experiences reflect Blue Door's distinctive atmosphere and DELANO's hospitality.

You will coach and lead a passionate team, maintain high service standards, and collaborate with Culinary and Bar teams to drive revenue and guest satisfaction

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or assistant management experience within a luxury hotel, lifestyle property or elevated restaurant.
• Strong floor and service knowledge in an à la carte setting.
• Excellent coaching and communication skills.
• Good commercial awareness including revenue, upselling and cost control.
• Fluent English; additional languages are an advantage.
• Warm, personable hospitality professional with guest relationships at heart.

Responsibilities

• Support the smooth daily operation of Blue Door with high service standards.

You will be highly visible on the floor, leading the team during service and ensuring every experience reflects Blue Door's distinctive atmosphere and DELANO's approach to hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the smooth daily operation of Blue Door, maintaining consistently high service standards.
• Lead shifts and oversee the restaurant in the Restaurant Manager's absence.
• Maintain a strong floor presence, ensuring smooth service flow and personalised guest engagement.
• Lead, motivate and coach the team, creating a positive and engaging working environment.
• Conduct daily briefings covering reservations, VIPs, menu updates and service priorities.
• Work closely with Culinary and Bar teams to ensure seamless service and consistency.
• Drive revenue through table optimisation, upselling and strong commercial awareness.
• Build genuine relationships with hotel guests, regulars and Dubai residents.
• Handle guest feedback and service recovery confidently and thoughtfully.
• Support staffing, scheduling, inventory and cost control.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or assistant management experience within a luxury hotel, lifestyle property or elevated restaurant.
• Strong à la carte restaurant experience with excellent floor and service knowledge.
• Confident and engaging leader with strong coaching and communication skills.
• Good commercial awareness including revenue, average spend, upselling and cost control.
• Strong food & beverage knowledge and genuine passion for hospitality.
• Naturally warm, personable and confident in building relationships with guests.
• Fluent English; additional languages are an advantage.
