Job summary

DELANO Dubai on Bluewaters Island seeks an Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the Restaurant Manager in leading day-to-day operation of the relaxed yet vibrant Blue Door dining destination. You will be highly visible on the floor, leading the team during service and ensuring every experience reflects Blue Door’s distinctive atmosphere and DELANO’s hospitality standards.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or assistant management experience within a luxury hotel or elevated restaurant.
• Strong à la carte restaurant experience with excellent floor and service knowledge.
• Confident and engaging leader with strong coaching and communication skills.
• Good commercial awareness including revenue, average spend, upselling and cost control.
• Fluent English; additional languages are an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support the smooth daily operation of Blue Door, maintaining high service standards.
• Lead shifts and oversee the restaurant in the Restaurant Manager’s absence.
• Maintain a strong floor presence, ensuring smooth service flow and personalised guest engagement.
• Lead, motivate and coach the team, creating a positive and engaging working environment.
• Conduct daily briefings on reservations, VIPs, menu updates and priorities.
• Collaborate with Culinary and Bar teams for seamless service and consistency.
• Drive revenue through table optimisation, upselling and strong commercial awareness.
• Build genuine relationships with hotel guests, regulars and Dubai residents.
• Handle guest feedback and service recovery confidently and thoughtfully.
• Support staffing, scheduling, inventory and cost control.
• Ensure food safety, hygiene and operational standards are consistently maintained.
• Support special events, activations and restaurant experiences.
