Job summary

One Works DMCC is seeking an experienced Assistant Resident Engineer to lead multidisciplinary site supervision and support the Resident Engineer in delivering airport construction works.

You will supervise daily activities, monitor progress against drawings and specifications, and coordinate QA/QC, HSE, planning and testing teams to ensure quality and timely delivery of the project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or related engineering discipline.
• Post-graduate construction/engineering experience: minimum 12 years.
• Minimum 5 years of site supervision experience.
• Minimum 5 years of direct airport construction experience (mandatory).
• Experience in multidisciplinary construction coordination and FIDIC contracts.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily construction activities across multiple disciplines.
• Monitor work against approved drawings, specs, method statements, ITPs and project requirements.
• Coordinate engineers, inspectors, surveyors, planning, QA/QC and HSE teams.
• Monitor project progress, identify delays and coordinate recovery measures.
• Review technical submissions, shop drawings, material submittals, RFIs and inspection requests.
• Monitor quality, safety, security and airside airport operational requirements.
• Maintain site records and support contract variation, claim and delay documentation.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, snagging, handover and project close-out.
• Identify technical, contractual, quality and programme risks and escalate to the Resident Engineer.

• Minimum 12 years of relevant post-graduate construction/engineering experience.
• Minimum 5 years of site supervision experience.
• Minimum 5 years of direct airport construction experience is MANDATORY.
• Experience in multidisciplinary construction coordination.
• Working knowledge of FIDIC-based contracts.
• Experience in testing, commissioning, handover and project close-out.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
