Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist the Resident Engineer in supervising daily site activities and progress.
• Ensure works comply with contract documents, drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants and client for smooth execution.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, method statements and RFIs; provide technical recommendations.
• Monitor site quality, safety, and progress; report non-conformances to Resident Engineer.
• Assist in issuing site instructions, progress reports and project documentation.
• Coordinate with Structural, MEP, Architectural, QS and Contracts teams to resolve issues.
• Ensure compliance with Dubai authorities (Dubai Municipality, DDA, Nakheel, Trakhees, DCD).
• Attend site meetings and prepare minutes and updates.

Overview

We are seeking a qualified Assistant Resident Engineer with solid experience in supervising residential and high-rise building projects in Dubai. The successful candidate will assist the Resident Engineer in managing site activities, ensuring that construction works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, contractual requirements, and local authority regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Resident Engineer in supervising daily site activities and monitoring construction progress.
• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with contract documents, approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and the client to facilitate smooth project execution.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and RFIs, and provide technical recommendations.
• Monitor site quality, health and safety compliance, and construction progress.
• Conduct site inspections and report any non-conformance or technical issues to the Resident Engineer.
• Assist in issuing site instructions, reviewing progress reports, and maintaining project documentation.
• Coordinate with Structural, MEP, Architectural, QS, and Contracts teams to resolve technical and construction-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with the requirements of Dubai authorities, including Dubai Municipality, DDA, Nakheel, Trakhees, Dubai Civil Defense (DCD), and other relevant authorities.
• Attend site meetings and assist in preparing meeting minutes and project updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture.
• Minimum 6-8 years of experience in Dubai, with a strong background in residential and high-rise building projects.
• UAE Society of Engineers membership is preferred.
• Good knowledge of Dubai authority regulations, including Dubai Municipality, DDA, Nakheel, Trakhees, and Dubai Civil Defense requirements.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, site supervision, quality control, and contract administration.
• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary project team and support the Resident Engineer in achieving project objectives.
