Job summary

Abu Dhabi Polytechnic invites applications for an Academic Faculty position to teach the Bachelor degree in Electro Mechanical Engineering. This is an Open Rank appointment with rank based on post-PhD teaching and publication record.

Candidates must hold a PhD in Manufacturing/Mechanical/Mechatronics, have 1–3 years post-PhD teaching, and show active research with publications. IELTS 7+ is required for non-native English speakers; MOE equivalency is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Active research with publications and curriculum development experience.

• Proven Skills in Mechatronics systems design and integration
• Competent in programmable logic controllers (PLC)

• Comply with EHS Policies, Programs and Procedures as per IAT/ADVETI EHSMS-General Framework and take responsibility for any aspect of EHS that they are involved in

• Develop and deliver different teaching approaches and models including, but not limited to, e-learning, student-centered education, blended education, flipped lecture model, individualized learning

• Align undergraduate capstone and graduate projects with career, problem based industrial projects and patentable ideas

Job Requirement

Applicants must be qualified to PhD level in Manufacturing or Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering specializations and competence industrial certificates will be an advantage. (Professional Doctorates are NOT accepted i.e. Doctorate of Education or Doctorate of Business Administration etc)

Applicants should have minimum of 1-3 years teaching experience at Higher Education Institutions after completion of PhD.

Evidence to active research records and publications, participating in curriculum development with minimum of 2 publications registered in Scopus Database or Scholarly Publications.

Excellent oral and written English with IELTS academic band of 7 (is a must for non-native English speakers). All candidates must obtain the Equivalency certificate for their highest qualification/from the MOE, UAE. Local candidates (based in the UAE) should submit the Equivalency certificates before joining and overseas candidates has to submit the UAE attested certificates (High school, Bachelor, Master & PhD as applicable) before joining.
