Job summary

Emirates Global Aluminium (EGA) is seeking a Senior Store man to oversee store operations, inventory accuracy and safe storage of materials. You will assist the supervisor, manage workloads, and ensure timely release of materials to production according to specifications.

The role requires a Diploma in a related field and strong English communication. 2–3 years of experience in a senior store role is expected, with SAP/MS Windows and bar coding system proficiency.

Qualifications

• Diploma in a relevant area is required.
• Good command of spoken and written English is essential.

Responsibilities

• Administers store operations, receipts, issues, inspections, accounting and safe storage of materials at Warehouse.
• Assists Supervisor to maintain inventory valuation system and monitor workload of Store Staff for efficient resource use.
• Ensure accuracy of Inventory to minimise loss, damage or pilferage by warehouse staff.
• Inspect incoming materials to ensure quality and specification conformity before acceptance.
• Release material to production promptly according to specs to avoid interruptions.
• Flag shortages to Supervisor and coordinate with Port Authority, Purchasing and Shipping on delivery status.
• Comply with EHS policies to maintain a healthy and safe work environment.

Job description

Job Responsibilities

• Administers store operations and organises receipts issues inspections accounting and safe storage of materials at Warehouse and assists Supervisor to maintain suitable inventory valuation system
• Monitors the work load of Store Staff from time to time and plans the efficient utilisation of available resources storage space
• Ensures the accuracy of inventory in Warehouse to minimise material loss damage pilferage or deterioration due to negligence of Warehouse staff
• Maintains inspection of incoming materials in order to ensure only the material as per required quality and specification is accepted
• Releases prompt and correct material to production as per the required specifications to avoid interruptions to company operations
• Highlights shortage of materials to Supervisor to initiate further necessary actions and co-ordinates with Port Authority Purchasing and Shipping departments on delivery status

Minimum Qualifications

• Diploma in a relevant area.

Minimum Experience

• 2 – 3 years as a Senior Store man.

• Good knowledge of Computer systems such as SAP and MS Windows for Warehouse system.
• Bar Coding System – HHT (Hand Held Terminals / Scanners).
• Hand tools for unpacking / packing packages.
• Mobile equipment, i.e. Forklift, Pick-up, Van and Personnel Carrier.
• Proficiency in the operation of all tools and equipment associated with Warehousing functions.
