Job summary

Emirates Global Aluminium in Dubai seeks an Assistant Officer - Store Control (UAE National) to lead store staff and manage warehousing activities in line with departmental goals.

You will oversee receipts, issues, inspections, and inventory, ensuring accurate valuation and timely material release to production. Strong English, a Diploma, and 2–3 years as a Senior Store man are required to join a safety‑driven team.

Responsibilities

• Administers store operations and organises receipts, issues, inspections, accounting and safe storage of materials at Warehouse and assists Supervisor to maintain suitable inventory valuation system.
• Monitors the workload of Store Staff and plans efficient utilisation of resources/storage space.
• Ensures inventory accuracy in Warehouse to minimise material loss, damage, pilferage or deterioration.
• Maintains inspection of incoming materials to ensure only quality material is accepted and released to production as required.
• Highlights shortages and coordinates with Port Authority, Purchasing and Shipping on delivery status.

JOB PURPOSE

To lead a team of store staff in performing Warehousing activities to handle goods and services to all areas at EGA in accordance with departmental objectives

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Warehouse and Store Operations

• Administers store operations and organises receipts, issues, inspections, accounting and safe storage of materials at Warehouse and assists Supervisor to maintain suitable inventory valuation system.
• Monitors the work load of Store Staff from time to time and plans the efficient utilisation of available resources / storage space.
• Ensures the accuracy of inventory in Warehouse to minimise material loss, damage, pilferage or deterioration due to negligence of Warehouse staff.
• Maintains inspection of incoming materials in order to ensure only the material as per required quality and specification is accepted. Releases prompt and correct material to production as per the required specifications to avoid interruptions to company operations.
• Highlights shortage of materials to Supervisor to initiate further necessary actions and co-ordinates with Port Authority, Purchasing and Shipping departments on delivery status.

Minimum Qualifications

• Diploma in a relevant area.
• Good command of spoken and written English l is essential

2 – 3 years as a Senior Store man.

Skills:

Good knowledge of;

• Computer systems such as SAP and MS Windows for Warehouse system.
• Bar Coding System – HHT (Hand Held Terminals / Scanners).
• Hand tools for unpacking / packing packages.
• Mobile equipment, i.e. Forklift, Pick-up, Van and Personnel Carrier.
• Proficiency in the operation of all tools and equipment associated with Warehousing functions.
