Job summary

NMC Healthcare LLC in Dubai seeks an assistive nursing professional to support planning and delivering patient-centered nursing and midwifery care under supervision. You will help with daily living activities, document care, and monitor vital signs in line with the therapeutic plan.

Qualifications

• Hold an appropriate license to work as an assistant nurse/assistant midwife recognized by the relevant regulatory health authority.
• Manage professional re‑licensure independently.
• Hold a valid American Heart Association Basic Life Support Provider card.
• Be willing to work across departments when necessary.
• Communicate clearly and effectively in English (spoken and written).

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the overall planning and delivery of nursing midwifery care for patients with a patient-centered approach.
• Assist in daily living activities for patients according to the patient care plan, including meals distribution and hygiene assistance.
• Maintain a high standard of nursing midwifery care within evidence-based guidelines and unit competencies.
• Advocate for patients, support patient dignity and rights at all times.
• Keep the Registered Nurse informed of vital signs, observations, and care provided, and document appropriately.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition and reactions to care immediately to the Registered Nurse.
• Respond to emergencies per organizational policies and procedures.
• Facilitate post-discharge clinic visits, scheduling follow-up and referral appointments as needed.
• Arrange patient transportation when required.
• Maintain flow of documents for scanning when necessary.
• Provide direct patient care according to the therapeutic plan under supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining an effective patient care plan.
• Record detailed reports reflecting the therapeutic plan in the patient’s record.
• Reinforce physician instructions and refer new needs to the Registered Nurse.
• Initiate emergency assistance as per policies and procedures.
• Perform Basic Life Support as per regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned within the scope of practice.
• Ask for clarification when in doubt and seek expert advice from colleagues if unable to provide required care.
• Familiarity with the DOH‑SOP‑NP‑V1 2022 – Nursing Scope of Practice.

• Demonstrate service excellence and act as a patient advocate, supporting patient dignity and rights at all times.
• Keep the Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife informed of vital signs, observations, and care provided, and document appropriately.
