Job summary

Intelligent Solutions HR Consultancy in Dubai seeks an Assistant Manager – Reporting to support the financial reporting and accounting function in a well-established organisation.

The role involves ensuring regulatory compliance, supervising accounting processes, and coordinating with internal/external auditors. IFRS 17 and IFRS 9 knowledge are mandatory, with ACCA/CA/CPA preferred and 3–5 years in insurance accounting with supervisory exposure.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • ACCA/CA/CPA certifications preferred.
  • 3–5 years accounting experience in the insurance sector with supervisory exposure.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS 17 and IFRS 9 (mandatory).
  • Experience managing accounting processes, reporting, and reconciliations.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed reviews and reconciliations of accounting processes prior to final approval by senior management.
  • Support the preparation and finalisation of quarterly and annual financial statements.
  • Supervise day-to-day accounting operations in line with established guidelines and best practices.
  • Review journal entries, transaction postings, and financial data for accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform preliminary reviews of AR, AP, and GL accounts, resolving discrepancies with stakeholders.
  • Oversee reconciliation processes, including cash, bank, and trial balance reviews.
  • Monitor and supervise reinsurance and third-party insurer accounts.
  • Support and guide accounting team members, including training on systems and procedures.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors, including managing audit fieldwork requirements.
  • Ensure accurate financial data entry and system usage within the ERP environment.
  • Support compliance with financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in implementing finance-related initiatives and process improvements.

Overview

Dubai, United Arab Emirates — Assistant Manager – Reporting role based in Dubai, UAE, supporting the financial reporting and accounting function within a well-established organisation. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and the effective management of accounting processes.
