Job summary

IMKAN Properties in Abu Dhabi seeks a Senior Manager for Financial Reporting to lead the finance team and report to the CFO. You will oversee internal controls, monthly closings, and IFRS-compliant reporting across consolidated and standalone financials.

The role requires 10+ years in finance, a CPA/CA, and Oracle ERP familiarity, with preference for real estate or audit firm background. Strong analytical and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting from a reputed University.
• CPA or CA or its equivalent.
• 10+ years of experience in the same capacity.
• Preferably experience in Real Estate organizations or reputed Audit Firms.
• Proficiency in using ERP systems (Oracle).

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions.
• Prepare business activity reports, financial forecasts, and assist in annual budgets; monthly management reporting and annual financial statements.
• Ensure accuracy of financial data by supervising General Ledger and reconciliations of sub-ledgers.
• Oversee Monthly and Annual Closing processes and period-end reconciliations.
• Produce periodic financial reports in line with IFRS and reporting standards.
• Handle tax planning and periodic tax returns.
• Coordinate with auditors and support audits.
• Present recommendations on financial objectives and policies.
• Provide financial analysis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contracts.
• Prepare cost allocation models and revenue models per IFRS.
• Conduct ad hoc financial analyses and root cause investigations.
• Interpret financial information, explain trends and variances, serve as IFRS SME.
• Adhere to standard accounting standards and company procedures.

Job description

We are actively searching for a Financial Reporting Senior Manager to join our Finance Team in Abu Dhabi, reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIE

• Establish and maintain internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions
• Responsible to prepare business activity reports, financial forecasts, and assisting in preparation of annual budgets. This includes monthly management reporting deliverables on consolidated & standalone basis and yearly financial statements and developing insightful analysis and reporting to support decision making and monitor performance
• Ensure the accuracy of financial data through supervising and maintaining the Company’s General Ledger accounts and ensure that all Sub-ledgers are reconciled and are well maintained
• Responsible for Monthly and Annual Closing Processes, ensure all required accounting transactions are booked properly at the end of each period, and perform period-end account closing activities and reconciliations
• Responsible to produce periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with IFRS and financial reporting standards
• Responsible for tax planning throughout the fiscal year; files periodical tax return
• Ensure compliance with local regulations; coordinates with external and internal auditors and provides needed information for the audit
• Present recommendations to management on short- and long-term financial objectives and policies
• Provide financial analysis with an emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations
• Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned
• Prepare cost allocation models and recording appropriate entries
• Prepare and maintain revenue models in line with applicable IFRS and recording appropriate entries
• Perform ad hoc financial analysis and perform root cause investigations, as requested by management
• Analyse and interpreting financial information and data and providing concise explanations on trends and variances
• Serve as a subject matter expert on IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards)
• Adhere to standard accounting standards and Company procedures

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIO

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting from a reputed University
• CPA or CA or its equivalent
• 10+ years of experience in the same capacity
• Preferably experience in Real Estate organizations or reputed Audit Firms
• Proficiency in using ERP systems (Oracle)
