Job summary

Black & Grey HR Consultancy FZE seeks an Assistant Manager - Logistics for a leading PEB/steel building manufacturer in the UAE. You will manage end-to-end export shipments, LC documentation, and cross-functional coordination with freight forwarders, customs, and sales teams to ensure smooth, on-time delivery.

Minimum 5 years in logistics/export, UAE customs knowledge, and strong negotiation skills are required. The role operates on-site in the Sharjah area with attractive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Commerce, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in logistics, export, customs clearance, and shipping coordination.
• Experience in PEB, structural steel, or similar manufacturing industry preferred.
• Strong knowledge of UAE customs procedures and export documentation.
• Proven ability to independently manage LC documentation and procedures.
• Strong negotiation, coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office; English fluency; Arabic an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end export shipments by land, sea, and air to meet sales and customer requirements.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, transporters, customs authorities, and Chamber of Commerce.
• Prepare and process Certificate of Origin, B/L, TCN, AWB, and other export documents.
• Independently manage and verify LC documentation to ensure compliance.
• Track shipments and resolve customs, border, and clearance issues for timely delivery.
• Maintain export records, quotes, LPOs, and refunds; provide shipment updates to internal teams.
• Promote workplace safety and report environmental concerns; support HSE initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Reporting Manager.

Black & Grey HR is seeking an Assistant Manager - Logistics to join our client, a leading Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) / steel building manufacturing company based in Sharjah, UAE. The role will be responsible for managing export logistics, customs clearance, shipping documentation, freight coordination, and Letter of Credit (LC) documentation, ensuring smooth and timely movement of PEB materials to various destinations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end export shipments by land, sea, and air, ensuring timely execution as per sales and customer requirements.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, transporters, customs authorities, and the Chamber of Commerce.
• Prepare and process Certificate of Origin, B/L, TCN, AWB, and other export documents.
• Independently manage and verify Letter of Credit (LC) documentation to ensure compliance and avoid discrepancies.
• Track shipments and resolve customs, border, and clearance issues to ensure timely delivery.
• Manage freight quotations, LPOs, customs deposit refunds, and maintain accurate export records.
• Provide shipment updates to Sales and other internal departments and respond to customer logistics queries.
• Monitor workplace safety equipment and systems and ensure they remain in safe working condition.
• Promote proper use of utilities and responsible waste disposal, and report unsafe conditions, equipment, or environmental concerns to HSE.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by the Reporting Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Commerce, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in logistics, export, customs clearance, and shipping coordination.
• Experience in PEB, structural steel, steel fabrication, or a similar manufacturing industry is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of UAE customs procedures, export documentation, and international shipping.
• Proven hands-on experience independently managing LC documentation and procedures.
• Strong negotiation, coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word and Excel.
• Good command of English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple shipments and deadlines.
