Job summary

NH Collection Dubai The Palm is seeking an Assistant Housekeeping Manager to support the Executive Housekeeper in daily operations, ensuring exceptional cleanliness, comfort and presentation for guests. You will guide the team, coordinate with other departments and uphold NH Collection standards to deliver a welcoming, memorable stay.

The role requires overseeing room and public area cleanliness, staffing planning, and maintaining safety and compliance while fostering teamwork and guest

Qualifications

• Experience as Assistant Housekeeping Manager or Housekeeping Supervisor in upscale or luxury hotels.
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, room inspections, linen management and cleaning standards.
• Proven ability to lead, train and motivate a multicultural team.
• Excellent organizational, planning and problem-solving skills; attention to detail and guest satisfaction.
• Good English communication skills (written and spoken) and familiarity with hotel PMS and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing cleanliness and presentation of guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house areas per NH Collection standards.
• Plan daily work assignments and coordinate staffing to meet occupancy and operational needs.
• Inspect guest rooms and areas to ensure standards are met and take corrective actions as needed.
• Coordinate with Front Office to prioritize room readiness for arrivals, departures and special requests.
• Collaborate with Engineering to report maintenance defects and follow up on repairs.
• Handle housekeeping-related guest requests and concerns professionally with timely resolutions.
• Supervise, coach and develop Housekeeping Supervisors, Room Attendants and other staff.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training and performance reviews to promote accountability and teamwork.
• Support duty rosters, attendance records and leave planning to maintain staffing levels.
• Monitor linen, uniforms, amenities, cleaning supplies and equipment; ensure stock control and storage.
• Support inventory counts, purchasing requests and budget control while maintaining service quality.
• Oversee deep-cleaning schedules, preventive care and safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety, hygiene, Lost and Found, key control and guest privacy procedures.

Qualifications
