Job summary

NH Collection Dubai The Palm is seeking an Assistant Housekeeping Manager to support the Executive Housekeeper in managing daily housekeeping operations and delivering exceptional cleanliness, comfort and presentation for our guests.

You will lead a multicultural team, coordinate with Front Office and Engineering, oversee rostering and training, and promote sustainable practices while maintaining NH Collection standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as Assistant Housekeeping Manager or Housekeeping Supervisor in upscale or luxury hotel.
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, room inspections, linen management and cleaning standards.
• Proven ability to lead, train and motivate a multicultural team.
• Strong organizational, planning and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to guest satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cleanliness and presentation of guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house areas in line with NH Collection standards.
• Plan daily work assignments and coordinate staffing to meet occupancy levels and requirements.
• Inspect guest rooms and areas, ensure standards are met and corrective actions are completed.
• Coordinate with Front Office to prioritise room readiness, arrivals, departures and special requirements.
• Work with Engineering to report maintenance defects and follow up on repairs.
• Supervise, coach and develop Housekeeping Supervisors, Room Attendants, Housemen and other team members.
• Assist with recruitment, onboarding, training and performance reviews, promoting accountability and teamwork.
• Assist with duty rosters, attendance records and leave planning to maintain appropriate staffing levels.

As Assistant Housekeeping Manager at NH Collection Dubai The Palm, you will support the Executive Housekeeper in managing daily housekeeping operations and delivering exceptional standards of cleanliness, comfort and presentation. You will guide the team, coordinate with other departments and ensure every guest enjoys a welcoming and memorable stay.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing the cleanliness and presentation of guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house areas in line with NH Collection standards.
• Plan daily work assignments and coordinate staffing to meet occupancy levels and operational requirements.
• Inspect guest rooms and assigned areas, ensuring cleaning standards are met and corrective actions are completed promptly.
• Coordinate with Front Office to prioritize room readiness, arrivals, departures and special guest requirements.
• Work closely with Engineering to report maintenance defects and follow up on repairs.
• Handle housekeeping-related guest requests and concerns professionally, ensuring timely resolution and follow-up.
• Supervise, coach and develop Housekeeping Supervisors, Room Attendants, Housemen and other team members.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, training and performance reviews, promoting accountability and teamwork.
• Assist with duty rosters, attendance records and leave planning to maintain appropriate staffing levels.
• Monitor linen, uniforms, amenities, cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper stock control and storage.
• Support inventory counts, purchasing requests and departmental budget control while maintaining service quality.
• Oversee deep-cleaning schedules, preventive care and the safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with hotel procedures for health and safety, hygiene, Lost and Found, key control and guest privacy.
• Promote sustainability through responsible use of water, energy, chemicals and supplies.
• Maintain accurate inspection records, operational reports and shift handovers.
• Support departmental briefings and assume responsibility for housekeeping operations in the Executive Housekeeper’s absence.

Qualifications
