Job summary

Hyatt Centric Jumeirah Dubai is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Team Leader to support daily operations and uphold Hyatt brand standards, delivering exceptional guest experiences through cleanliness and service excellence.

You will supervise room attendants, inspect spaces, coordinate with Front Office, train staff, manage inventory and safety, and uphold health and hygiene standards in a luxury hotel.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Hospitality Management.
• Minimum of 2 years housekeeping supervisory experience in a hotel.
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations and quality standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in English; additional language skills are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of Room Attendants and Housekeeping Attendants.
• Inspect guest rooms, corridors, public areas, and back-of-house spaces for cleanliness.
• Ensure rooms are cleaned and prepared to Hyatt standards.
• Coordinate with Front Office on room availability and guest requests.
• Provide training and coaching to housekeeping staff.
• Assign tasks and schedules based on occupancy.
• Manage cleaning equipment, linens, and supplies.

Summary

At Hyatt Centric Jumeirah Dubai, we are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Team Leader to support the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and motivating the housekeeping team, ensuring guest rooms and public areas meet Hyatt brand standards, and delivering exceptional guest experiences through cleanliness, efficiency, and service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of Room Attendants and Housekeeping Attendants.
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, corridors, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness and compliance with Hyatt standards.
• Ensure all rooms are cleaned, maintained, and prepared for arrival according to established quality standards.
• Monitor room status updates and coordinate with the Front Office regarding room availability and guest requests.
• Provide guidance, training, and coaching to housekeeping colleagues to maintain operational excellence.
• Assign daily tasks and work schedules based on occupancy levels and operational requirements.
• Ensure proper use, storage, and control of cleaning equipment, chemicals, linens, and guest supplies.
• Report and follow up on maintenance issues and safety hazards identified during inspections.
• Handle guest requests and housekeeping-related concerns promptly and professionally.
• Support inventory management, linen control, and stock replenishment processes.
• Ensure compliance with hotel policies, health and safety regulations, and hygiene standards.
• Assist the Housekeeping Manager and Assistant Housekeeping Manager with departmental projects, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Foster a positive team environment and lead by example in delivering Hyatt's purpose of care and hospitality.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Hospitality Management or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of housekeeping supervisory experience in a hotel environment, preferably within an international hotel brand.
• Strong knowledge of housekeeping operations, cleaning procedures, and quality standards.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple priorities.
• Good organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in English; additional language skills are advantageous.
• Familiarity with hotel property management systems and housekeeping software is preferred.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
