Seau de Crabe Dubai is seeking an experienced Assistant Cook / Commis Chef to join our kitchen team in the UAE. The role involves supporting the kitchen with food preparation, cooking, cleaning, and maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene.

Previous UAE restaurant kitchen experience is strongly preferred. The candidate will assist with daily prep, follow recipes precisely, and work efficiently during busy service hours while upholding HACCP and FIFO procedures.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist chefs with daily food preparation and cooking.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
• Follow FIFO procedures and proper food storage.
• Monitor temperatures and ensure safe handling of raw and cooked products.
• Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
• Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and utensils.
• Receive and organize kitchen supplies as needed.
• Follow directions from Head Chef and management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist chefs with daily food preparation and cooking.
• Prepare ingredients, sauces, vegetables, seafood and other menu items according to recipes and standards.
• Follow portion control, food quality and presentation standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
• Follow proper food storage, labeling and FIFO procedures.
• Monitor food temperatures and ensure safe handling of raw and cooked products.
• Follow food safety, hygiene and sanitation procedures at all times.
• Assist with receiving and organizing kitchen supplies.
• Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
• Properly clean and maintain kitchen equipment and utensils.
• Follow instructions from the Head Chef and kitchen management.
• Help minimize food waste and maintain proper stock rotation.
