Job summary

Brothers Gas Bottling and Distribution Co LLC in Dubai seeks an experienced accountant to maintain financial records, record and reconcile transactions, and prepare comprehensive financial reports. The role supports cost analysis, budgeting, and internal audits in a fast-paced oil & gas trading environment.

The candidate should hold a bachelor’s in accounting, with 2–4 years in the oil & gas sector, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with SAGE X3 or ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a relevant field (B.Com, M.Com).
• CPA/CA/CMA/CPCA/ACCA certifications are advantageous.
• 2–4 years of experience in the oil & gas sector or trading/commercial company.
• Advanced Excel skills; SAGE X3 or ERP accounting system experience.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with financial statements (QuickBooks).
• Professional certification related to accounting is advantageous.
• Solid understanding of accounting, financial concepts and reporting software.
• Excellent communication, attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
• Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
• Manage the company’s accounting systems and financial records
• Evaluate and keep track of the company’s cost expenditures
• Gather and analyze the company’s operational costs
• Prepare and maintain internal audit reports
• Analyze costs related to accounting, budgeting, taxation, and other financial activities
• Recommend ways to reduce costs and prepare budget adjustments
• Prepare budgets and cost estimates for projects across the company
• Prepare and maintain weekly, monthly, and annual financial reports
• Maintain inventory data by reviewing invoices, purchase orders, etc
• Advise the company’s executives on appropriate costing based on financial data
• Administer and maintain the company’s balance sheets and accounting books
• Identify and implement cost-efficient solutions that will improve business processes
• Prepare budgeting reports (for the company and for each department)
• Analyze and report profit margins
• Prepare (monthly, quarterly and annual) cost forecasts
• Assisting in month-end and year-end closing
• Identify and recommend cost-effective solutions

Desired Candidate Profile

• Qualified: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a relevant field - Bcom, Mcom and Certification CPA/CA /CMA or CPCA, ACCA.
• Accountant , or a related role - 2- 4 years of experience in the oil & gas sector or trading commercial company.
• MS Office - EXCEL - Advance level, SAGE X3 will be preferred OR Must-Have ERP Accounting System.
• Strong analytical skills, Expertise working with QuickBooks and financial statements
• Professional certification related to accounting is advantageous
• Sound understanding of accounting, financial, and organizational concepts
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting and accounting software
• Exceptional analytical skills ,Excellent communication
