Job summary

Confidential Company in Dubai seeks a hands-on ACCA-qualified Finance & Compliance professional to manage accounting, banking documentation, and audit requirements for an oil & gas/energy sector business.

You will oversee IFRS reporting, internal controls, and external audits, ensuring tax and statutory compliance while coordinating with operations, procurement, and banking partners.

Qualifications

• ACCA qualified (full membership) preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• 5 years of accounting/finance experience with at least 2 years in oil & gas trading, EPC, energy or related industries.
• Strong IFRS audit compliance and financial control knowledge.
• Experience with banking and trade-finance documentation.
• Advanced Excel and ERP systems proficiency.
• Excellent English communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting across GL, AP, AR and financial reporting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual management accounts.
• Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Oversee accruals, provisions, prepayments, fixed assets and inventory.
• Monitor project costs, budgets, profitability, billing, retention and variations.
• Handle banking payments, LCs, bank guarantees and foreign-currency transactions.
• Ensure VAT, corporate tax, IFRS, audit and statutory compliance.
• Maintain strong financial controls, documentation and audit trails.
• Coordinate external audits and provide schedules and reports.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, cash-flow and financial analysis.
• Collaborate with operations, procurement, management and banking partners.

The successful candidate should be a hands‑on finance professional who can independently manage accounting banking documentation compliance and audit requirements and maintain a high standard of financial control Experience must be demonstrable through actual responsibilities rather than qualification alone We are seeking an experienced and highly detail-oriented ACCA-qualified Accountant / Finance & Compliance professional to manage accounting, financial reporting, banking, compliance and financial documentation for an oil & gas / energy-sector business. The ideal candidate will have a strong accounting background, a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience, including at least 2 years within the oil & gas Trading, energy, EPC. The candidate must be comfortable dealing with banks, auditors, suppliers, management and regulatory/compliance requirements and must maintain complete, accurate and audit-ready financial records.
