Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Baker or Pastry Cook is preferred.
• Good knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and food preparation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Creative and passionate about baking and pastry.
• Able to work early mornings, shifts, weekends, and public holidays when required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake breads, pastries, cakes, cookies, and other bakery products.
• Follow recipes and ensure consistent taste, texture, quality, and presentation.
• Measure and mix ingredients accurately according to production requirements.
• Prepare dough, fillings, creams, toppings, and other bakery ingredients.
• Monitor baking temperatures, timing, and product quality.
• Decorate and present baked products according to company standards.
• Maintain proper storage and stock rotation of ingredients and finished products.
• Monitor ingredient stock levels and report shortages or quality issues.
• Keep the bakery, equipment, utensils, and work areas clean and hygienic.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety procedures.
• Minimise food waste and ensure efficient use of ingredients.
• Assist with developing new bakery products and seasonal items when required.
• Support daily production planning and ensure products are ready on schedule.
• Maintain and clean baking equipment and report maintenance issues.
• Perform other bakery duties as assigned by management.
