Job summary

Mackenzie Jones Middle East is seeking an Area Retail Manager to oversee a broad retail portfolio, coaching a frontline team across multiple formats and ensuring revenue, profitability and high service levels. You will report to the Head of Retail and influence decisions through strong analytics and stakeholder management.

With a minimum of ten years in retail operations and UAE work experience, you will drive customer focus, share best practices, and lead a multi-site operation including

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years retail operations experience.
• Proven track record in managing a team across at least 10 stores.
• UAE work experience is a must.
• Ability to build relationships with customers, partners and stakeholders.
• Proactive sharing of best practice to improve performance.
• Strong record of revenue, cost control and KPI delivery.
• Ability to analyze issues, develop solutions and influence decisions.
• Drive customer focus for long-term customer quality.

Job description

My client is a market leading convenience retailer with locations in nearly every country in the word.
Reporting to the Head of Retail you will be responsible for covering the retail portfolio across many different formats. The Area Retail Manager will be responsible for managing and coaching their direct reports and front line sales consultants to achieve revenue and profitability targets. The role will drive sales, customer service and manage a stand‑alone P+L, including all revenues from retail stores, partner & white label stores, all direct retail costs, direct support costs, and allocated shared costs.

• A minimum of 10 years retail operations experience
• Track record in managing a team and multi‑site (at least 10 stores)
• UAE work experience a must
• The ability to build and manage relationships, developing trust and credibility with customers, partners, peers, teams, internal and external stakeholders
• Proactive sharing of best practice to peers and teams for continuous improvement of performance in their area of expertise
• A strong record of performance delivery in their area of expertise, through increased sales, cost management , performance against KPIs and good P&L management
• The ability to analyse issues, develop solutions and influence key decisions, balancing risk with results
• Drive customer focus in everything we do to gain and retain high quality customers for the long term success
