Job summary

UNRWA in the Hebron area seeks an Area Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Supervisor to oversee MHPSS interventions across health centers. The role involves direct supervision of psychosocial counselors, guiding staff, and ensuring consistent practices.

You will coordinate area-level MHPSS activities, prepare monthly reports, and contribute to training materials. In emergencies, you facilitate crisis intervention plans and ensure timely support for Palestine refugees.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision and guidance for MHPSS interventions, including individual and group counseling.
• Support health center staff in managing patients with psychosocial or mental health difficulties and conduct short-term interventions for complex or at-risk cases.
• Coordinate area-level MHPSS activities with health center heads and area health officers to ensure consistency.
• Prepare monthly and ad-hoc reports on activities, achievements and challenges, and contribute to training materials.
• In emergencies, facilitate crisis intervention plans and perform other duties as assigned.
