Job summary

Black Pearl Consult seeks a Senior Psychology Practitioner for a leading hospital in Dubai to provide patient-centered psychological services, including assessment, crisis intervention, counseling, and psychotherapy in multiple modalities while developing mental health awareness.

The role includes supervising trainees, contributing to policy development, crisis intervention, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to support patients and families.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in psychology or counselling; DHA licensure/registration as required.
• Minimum of 6 years post-graduate experience.
• Experience with crisis intervention and multiple psychotherapy modalities.

Responsibilities

• Develop mental health policies and procedures.
• Provide clinical supervision for trainees and Master’s Level Staff; conduct in-service training.
• Conduct crisis intervention, intake assessments, and diagnostic procedures for clients.
• Provide psychotherapy across multiple modalities (individual, couples, family, group).
• Liaise with multidisciplinary teams regarding patient needs and management.
• Participate in patient advocacy and mental health awareness initiatives.

We currently have the opportunity with one of the leading hospitals in Dubai, UAE, for a Senior Psychology Practitioner.

Job Purpose

To provide patient-centred psychological services, including assessment,crisis intervention, counseling, and psychotherapy in multiple modalities andorientations. To develop psychologicalservices and increase mental health awareness

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development of mentalhealth policies and procedures.
• Provide clinicalsupervision for trainees and Master’s Level Staff. Conduct professionalin-service training and contribute to community-based programs and externaltrainings.
• Assume all otheradministrative and managerial duties in the case of serving as the Headof Section
• Conduct crisis intervention, intake assessments and diagnosticprocedures for inpatient and outpatient clients
• Provide psychotherapyacross multiple modalities (e.g., individual, couples, family, andgroup) and evidence-based theoretical orientations
• Conductpsycho-diagnostic assessment procedures including scoring, interpretation,and report writing (applicable to trained professionals only)
• Provide expert advice,liaise and consult with multidisciplinary teams regarding thepsychological needs of patients and families, as well as effective patientmanagement
• Participate in thedevelopment and execution of patient advocacy and mental health awarenessinitiatives
• Maintain professionaldocumentation and case records
• Perform other duties asassigned

Requirements

Job Requirement

AMaster’s Degree in psychology or counselling, or an equivalent degree Licensure/registrationaccording to DHA requirements, Trainingand qualifications.

Experience - A minimum of 6 years of post-graduate experience.
