Job summary

Ohana Development is seeking an Architect to join our design team in the UAE. You will carry a project from concept design through to detailed design and IFC drawings, ensuring design intent is maintained while meeting regulatory and construction requirements.

The ideal candidate has 8–12 years of experience in architectural design and delivery, with strong knowledge of UAE regulations and proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of professional experience in architectural design and project delivery.
• Proven experience delivering projects from concept through IFC and construction.
• Strong knowledge of UAE regulations, authority requirements and construction practices.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and relevant architectural/design software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to concept design through to detailed design and IFC drawings.
• Produce and review high-quality architectural drawings, details, and specifications.
• Ensure alignment between design intent and execution on site.
• Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and contractors (MEP, structural, etc.).
• Develop technical solutions and construction details for complex design challenges.
• Participate in design reviews, value engineering, and technical workshops.
• Support site team with design clarifications and drawing updates during construction.
• Maintain documentation standards and version control.

About the Role

Ohana Development is looking for an Architect to join our design team. This role is ideal for someone who can carry a project from concept design through to detailed and execution drawings, ensuring design intent is maintained while meeting technical, regulatory, and construction requirements.

You will play a key role in shaping high-quality developments, with a strong focus on buildability, coordination, and documentation excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to concept design development through to detailed design and IFC (Issued for Construction) drawings
• Produce and review high-quality architectural drawings, details, and specifications
• Ensure alignment between design intent and execution on site
• Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and contractors (MEP, structural, etc.)
• Develop technical solutions and construction details for complex design challenges
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, codes, and authority requirements (UAE)
• Participate in design reviews, value engineering, and technical workshops
• Support site team with design clarifications and drawing updates during construction
• Maintain documentation standards and version control

Requirements

• Approximately 8–12 years of professional experience in architectural design and project delivery.
• Proven experience in delivering projects from concept design through detailed design, IFC, and construction.
• Strong experience in residential, hospitality, mixed-use, or high-end developments is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of UAE building regulations, authority requirements, and construction practices.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and relevant architectural/design software.
• Strong technical documentation, coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• UAE/GCC project experience
• Experience working with developers, consultants, or design studios
