Job summary

Eathos is seeking a dedicated Chef at our Central Kitchen to support the culinary team in preparing authentic Arabic and Middle Eastern dishes, following recipes and guidelines, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.

You will assist in producing mezze, salads, soups, mains, rice dishes, and grilled items, ensure proper handling of ingredients, coordinate with senior chefs, and help maintain consistency in taste and portion control.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; culinary education or certifications are a plus.
• Strong knowledge of traditional Arabic and Middle Eastern ingredients, cooking techniques, spices, and presentation.
• Experience with food safety and sanitation practices; HACCP awareness.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of Arabic and Middle Eastern dishes per recipes and standards.
• Assist in preparing mezze, salads, soups, appetizers, mains, rice dishes, and grilled items.
• Ensure ingredients are washed, cut, portioned, stored, and prepped for service.
• Follow instructions from senior chefs to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
• Maintain consistency in taste, portion size, quality, and presentation.
• Comply with HACCP principles and local food safety regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstation and equipment.
• Assist with stock rotation and FIFO inventory control.
• Support daily mise en place, kitchen briefings, and cleaning schedules.
• Collaborate with kitchen team to ensure timely food preparation.
