Job summary

Blooms Education in Abu Dhabi is seeking a qualified Teaching Assistant for our Nursery in Bani Yas to start immediately. You will support the EY Supervisor, help prepare learning materials, and contribute to a safe, stimulating classroom environment.

The role requires fluent Arabic and English, at least a Vocational Certificate in Early Childhood Care & Education and a Diploma with 100+ hours training, plus two years nursery experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist EY Supervisor in preparing classroom materials and activities
• Create a safe, stimulating learning environment
• Engage children through play, storytelling, songs and age-appropriate learning activities
• Observe and support children’s learning, maintaining accurate records
• Assist with children’s daily care routines
• Ensure equipment and resources are clean, organized and well maintained
• Supervise children during outdoor play, trips and bus arrivals/departures
• Communicate professionally with parents and collaborate with colleagues
• Attend staff meetings and nursery events when required

• Observe and support children’s learning and development, maintaining accurate records as required.
• Assist with children’s daily care routines.
• Ensure the classroom equipment and learning resources are clean, organized and well maintained.
• Supervise children at all times, including during outdoor play, trips and bus arrivals/departures, ensuring their safety.
• Communicate professionally with parents and work collaboratively with colleagues.
• Attend staff meetings, training sessions and support nursery events when required.

Qualifications

• Vocational Certificate in Early Childhood Care & Education.
• Diploma with evidence of Early Childhood training of no less than 100 hours.
• A minimum of two years of experience in a nursery setting.
• Experience in nurseries in the UAE will be an advantage.
• Fluent in Arabic and English communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to aid in daily contact with staff in a diverse multicultural environment.
