Job summary

Carrier Corporation in Dubai is seeking an Application Engineer to provide technical support to consultants, customers and the sales team by performing equipment selections, preparing technical submittals and quotations, and supporting project execution activities.

The role requires strong HVAC knowledge, effective communication, and timely response to customer requirements while complying with EH&S and ISO IMS Quality System procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related HVAC field.
• Minimum 23 years of experience in HVAC applications engineering.
• Strong understanding of HVAC fundamentals.
• Experience with chiller systems, AHUs and FCUs.
• Familiarity with consultant specifications and schedules.
• Ability to perform heat load calculations and equipment selections.

• Handle enquiry and quotation processes: technical selections, compliance statements, technical submittals, consultant comment responses, quotations in SAP/CRM, AE actions file updates.

Job Summary

The Application Engineer will provide technical support to consultants customers and the sales team by performing equipment selections preparing technical submittals and quotations and supporting project execution activities. The role requires strong HVAC technical knowledge effective communication and timely response to customer requirements while complying with EH&S and ISO IMS Quality System procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle enquiry and quotation processes including:
  • Technical selections
  • Compliance statements
  • Technical submittals
  • Consultant comment responses
  • Quotations in SAP/CRM
  • AE Actions file updates
• Review project enquiries schedules and specifications to provide suitable HVAC solutions and product selections.
• Ensure all customer enquiries are responded to within assigned KPIs and timelines.
• Coordinate with customers regarding Job in Hand (JIH) projects and support BU Manager in assigning Sales Engineers.
• Support sales teams with:
  • Technical guidance
  • Comparison tables
  • Product schedules
  • Selection software outputs
  • Technical documentation
• Maintain regular coordination between Sales Applications and Consultant Engineering teams.
• Attend customer and consultant meetings/site visits with the sales team when required.
• Stay updated with the latest product catalogues technical bulletins software and industry standards.
• Ensure consultant comments are addressed promptly to support project approvals.
• Maintain knowledge of local and international standards and certifications such as:
  • EUROVENT
  • AHRI
  • LEED
  • DGNB
  • DEWA
• Prepare monthly reports on pending and completed tasks while ensuring KPI targets are achieved.
• Report Turnbacks and Escapes regularly.
• Comply with the company Code of Ethics in all professional interactions.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related HVAC field
• Minimum 23 years of experience in HVAC applications engineering
• Strong understanding of:
  • HVAC fundamentals
  • Chillers AHUs and FCUs
  • CML Applied Products
  • Consultant specifications and schedules
  • Heat load calculations and equipment selections

Technical & Personal Requirements

• Proven experience in the UAE market
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in:
  • MS Office & MS Excel
  • HVAC selection software
  • AutoCAD
  • SAP/CRM quotation systems
  • AC system design
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
• Team player with strong interpersonal skills
• Result-oriented and well-organized
• Willingness to relocate within the UAE based on business requirements
