Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi is seeking a physician to lead the Allergy and Immunology Department at the MSI, guiding leadership, operations, finance and human resources while integrating Respiratory Institute services into CCAD's strategy.

The role emphasizes strategic planning, academic development, patient care excellence, and collaboration with Nursing, Administration and Medical Staff to advance education and research within the Abu Dhabi healthcare landscape.

Qualifications

• MD, MBBS, or MBChB with recognized Allergy and Immunology specialty qualification.
• Applicants holding internationally recognized specialty qualifications (e.g., American Board Certification, CCST, Royal College) are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and provides care to patients within CCAD/MSI.
• Prescribes or administers medication and other treatments.
• Performs treatments or operations to address medical conditions.
• Maintains patient records for treatment and referrals.
• Liaises with CCAD staff to ensure quality patient care.
• Delivers culturally appropriate care while following policies.
• Oversees budgeting, staffing, and resource allocation for the department.
• Develops strategic plan for the Department/Section aligned with CCAD strategy.
• Defines scope in patient care, education and research.
• Creates vision and supports department excellence in patient care, education and research.
• Recommends criteria for staff recruitment and resources.
• Oversees resource utilization and productivity to meet inpatient/outpatient targets.
• Monitors quality metrics and clinical outcomes.
• Participates in MEC and administrative responsibilities as required.
