Job summary

GAL is seeking a Workshop Manager in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, to oversee the day-to-day maintenance operations of the workshop and coordinate servicing and repair procedures in line with directives, manuals, and SOPs. The role includes supervising shop staff, allocating work orders, and ensuring accurate records in TAMMS, while coordinating with external contractors when needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the day to day workshop's maintenance operation
• Coordinates with shop supervisors on servicing and repair techniques per directives and manuals
• Distributes and monitors all work orders assigned to the shops
• Maintains and updates personnel files
• Prepares evaluations and reports and ensures records for aircraft component repair comply with TAMMS
• Recommends and administers plans and policies
• Assists in determining need for outside contractors and coordinates such work
• Makes regular inspections of shops facilities and prepares reports
• Determines man-hours, personnel, parts and facility requirements to improve shop production
• Monitors logistical needs such as parts, tools, manuals and equipment to sustain and improve shop operations
• Performs maintenance trend analysis and applies production control, quality control, safety, and other maintenance management principles
• Maintains accountability records for all tools and equipment assigned to the Workshop Department
