Job summary

talabat seeks a Manager, Data Scientist - AI to lead a team delivering ML and generative AI systems that power decisions across talabat's product and business. You will be a people leader and hands-on technologist, owning the roadmap and delivery while growing the team.

You will oversee the full ML lifecycle and drive adoption of LLMs to enrich data and automate decisions at scale, ensuring measurable Net AI Value Delivered across platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, CS or related field.
• 6+ years in data science, ML engineering, and/or generative AI.
• 2+ years managing or leading a data science or ML team.
• Experience shipping ML models in online consumer product environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead, grow, and retain a data science team with a high bar for technical quality.
• Own the team's technical roadmap and prioritise high-impact AI initiatives.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, and business teams to translate needs into robust AI solutions.
• Establish strong MLOps, observability, and production-grade practices.
