Job summary

talabat is seeking a Sr. Data Scientist (AI & ML) to design, build, and ship machine learning and generative AI systems powering decisions across product and business.

You will own a domain end-to-end, collaborating with product managers and ML engineers to drive impact at scale. You will lead the full ML lifecycle from problem framing, data modeling, and feature engineering through model training, deployment, serving, and monitoring in production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in data science, ML engineering and generative AI.
• Experience shipping ML models to production in online consumer products.
• Good problem solver with a growth mindset and ownership.

Responsibilities

• Frame ambiguous business problems as well-defined ML problems with clear success criteria.
• Provide high-quality insights and data-driven recommendations to guide decisions.
• Design, build, and ship end-to-end ML and generative AI systems in production.
• Architect robust ML-based systems and write scalable production code.
• Train, evaluate, and iterate models using appropriate algorithms.
• Leverage LLMs for data enrichment and automated decision-making within production systems.
• Develop data models, features, and pipelines to support model training and evaluation.
• Plan experiments (A/B and multivariate) to measure impact on product and metrics.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate opportunities into ML solutions.
• Mentor other data scientists and share best practices across teams.
