Job summary

ByteDance is hiring for a backend/AI-focused role within Corporate Information in Dubai. You will own Procurement Agents and the System AI Harness end-to-end, building scalable backend services and AI-powered features for procurement at scale.

You will prototype emerging AI techniques, mentor engineers, and collaborate across product and design to deliver complete end-to-end solutions, focusing on reliability and performance in a global context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of backend development experience with end-to-end ownership of medium to large systems.
• Proficient in Golang, Java, or Python with strong backend architecture and design skills.

Responsibilities

• Own Procurement Agents and the System AI Harness end-to-end from design to production.
• Build core backend services, data flows, and integrations for AI-native procurement.
• Lead AI Agent capabilities design (planning, tool use, memory, multi-step reasoning).
• Prototype and evaluate AI techniques, turning them into durable platform features.
• Collaborate with product/design to translate complex problems into end-to-end solutions.
• Improve reliability, performance, and code quality through systematic analysis.
• Mentor teammates with architecture guidance and knowledge sharing.
• Shape mid- to long-term technical roadmaps and evolution strategies.
• Address challenging problems with proven approaches and scalable methods.
