Job summary

ByteDance is partnering with its Corporate Information department to offer an internship focused on AI-native procurement. You will join a team upgrading procurement systems, work on Procurement Agents, and contribute to the System AI Harness under experienced mentors.

The program emphasizes hands-on work, real-world problems, and growth in a fast-paced tech environment. Ideal candidates are enrolled in CS/AI/Data Science programs, available for at least 3 days/week, and eager to apply frontier

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor's, master's, or PhD program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Support the construction and exploration of Procurement Agents and the System AI Harness under mentor guidance.
• Develop and maintain services, business logic, and data flows powering AI-native procurement with emphasis on code quality.
• Explore AI Agent capabilities (planning, tool use, memory, multi-step reasoning) and turn ideas into features.
• Build quick prototypes and translate promising ideas into practical product capabilities.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to break down problems and deliver complete solutions.
