Job summary

Tanqeeb is seeking a detail-oriented Commercial Strategy & Performance Analyst to act as the analytical backbone of the local account team's performance function in Dubai. You will own data infrastructure, reporting engines, and analytical deep-dives powering target setting, performance, and bonus calculations, with increasing AI support to scale the function.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in business analysis, commercial analytics, sales operations, or a similar data-focused role in e-commerce, food delivery, or internet platforms.
• Advanced SQL skills across complex queries, joins, and large datasets.
• Expert-level Excel/Google Sheets and hands-on experience with BI tools (Tableau/Power BI/Looker).
• Hands-on experience with AI tools in a business context: prompt engineering for analysis or AI-assisted reporting.
• Experience with performance reporting for commercial teams — KPIs, scorecards, business reviews.
• Strong attention to detail, especially with numbers like bonuses and targets.
• Ability to work independently on analytical projects while supporting a senior leader.
• Structured problem-solving to translate fuzzy questions into analytical plans.
• Clear communication for presenting findings to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with Python/R, forecasting, or ML is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain the reporting infrastructure: dashboards and reports covering GMV, account growth, retention, and revenue.
• Execute bonus cycle operations: commission and bonus calculations, data validation, and payout support.
• Own KPI tracking and data quality: scorecards and performance data across markets.
• Conduct deep-dive analyses: diagnostics, trend analysis, and root-cause investigations.
• Champion AI-powered analytics: AI agents to automate summaries and insights.
• Build AI-enabled self-serve tools: copilots, data queries, and alerting.
• Automate and scale: reduce manual reporting through scripts and AI workflows.
• Support target setting and forecasting: models and scenario analyses for quarterly/annual goals.
• Enable account managers with self-serve tools and training.
• Collaborate with Data, Finance, and Sales Ops to align data pipelines.
