Job summary

Leica Biosystems is seeking a Regional Sales Manager Africa to develop and execute the commercial strategy across African territories to deliver sustained revenue growth, increase market share, and strengthen Leica Biosystems' presence in the region.

The role leads direct sales, manages channel partners and distributors, builds strategic customer relationships, and ensures achievement of annual operating plan objectives, reporting to the Commercial Director META.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Medical Laboratory Sciences, or related field.
• Significant experience in a multinational medical diagnostics environment.
• Proven track record of achieving commercial targets.
• Experience leading distributor networks across Africa.
• Strong consultative and value-based selling capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Commercial Leadership: Develop and execute annual business plans to achieve orders, revenue, profitability, and market share objectives across Africa.
• Channel & Distributor Management: Establish performance expectations, KPIs, and growth plans for channel partners and conduct regular business reviews.
• Customer Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with pathologists, laboratory directors, procurement leaders, and ministry representatives.
• Forecasting & Business Management: Maintain a robust sales funnel, ensure accurate forecasting, and provide monthly/quarterly/annual forecasts.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Marketing, Commercial Operations, Applications, Customer Care, and Service teams to drive customer success.
• Team Leadership & Talent Development: Lead and develop a high-performing regional sales team with clear objectives and regular coaching.
