Job summary

RTX seeks an experienced Aircraft Lighting Technician in the UAE to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and test lighting components on aircraft. You will perform maintenance per data, diagnose faults, and record results in the MRO system, while maintaining tool control and safety standards.

This role requires 3+ years in aircraft component MRO and a relevant diploma. Experience with CMMs, wiring diagrams, and aviation safety (Part-145) is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Must be available for overtime, including extended workdays and weekends.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Technical diploma/certificate in Aviation Maintenance, Electrical/Electronics, or a related field.
• Previous experience in aircraft component MRO, preferably with aircraft lighting systems.
• Ability to read and interpret CMMs, wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of electrical/electronic troubleshooting and test equipment.
• Familiarity with aviation quality and safety requirements, preferably Part-145.
• Good attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and meet operational targets.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and test aircraft lighting components and assemblies.
• Perform maintenance in accordance with CMMs, AMMs, SRMs, technical instructions, and other approved data.
• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults using appropriate test equipment and tooling.
• Carry out functional and operational testing after repair to ensure components meet required specifications.
• Accurately record inspection findings, repair actions, test results, and component status in the applicable MRO system.
• Maintain proper tool control, FOD prevention, ESD precautions, and good housekeeping within the work area.
• Ensure all tools and test equipment used are serviceable and within calibration requirements.
• Identify non-conformances, unusual findings, and repair limitations and escalates them to the appropriate personnel.
• Support troubleshooting and development of new repair capabilities and processes.
